EXHIBITIONS

  • The Science of Soccer
  • Date to be announced

The much awaited 2010 year is here and Sci-Bono is celebrating this with our Science of Soccer exhibition.  This collection of interactive exhibits unpacks the science and technology behind the beautiful game.  It is an ideal opportunity to get learners to come to grips with concepts like inertia, centre of gravity, the Magnus effect (‘Bend it like Bafana’), leverage, velocity and force, which are such key principles in the game.  In addition they can learn about how diet impacts on performance and to delve into physiology by understanding common injuries in soccer.   Then there is the physically demanding fun stuff, where learners get to score, dribble and pass using interactive exhibits that are oversized teaching tools.  This is one not to be missed!
Maths 2000
This intriguing maths exhibition is aimed at Grades 7, 8 and 9.  It deals with puzzles, 2-D and 3-D images and the basics of geometry.  It is recommended for the teacher who wants to make maths learning more concrete and easy to understand.
