Sci-Bono Youth Development Program is a 8-12-month full-time program that provides a 180 unemployed youth aged 18-25 years an opportunity to gain internationally recognised qualifications.

The program is supplemented with essential life skills, Entrepreneurship and Job readiness skills.

This 10-month ICT learnership provides unemployed youth with Cisco international qualifications in Web and Applications Development or Networking & Security.  The ICT Learnership takes the form of a bootcamp where students are placed in a high pressurized, fast-paced learning environment. The aim hereof is to simulate a typical IT support, working environment as part of preparing students for employment. The technical training is supplemented with essential life skills workshops such as goal setting and motivation, financial literacy, job readiness, self-awareness, etc. Students are prepared for the workplace through training, support and mentorship to maximize job readiness and secure placement.

 

This program is built on the model of multi-partners for greater impact and effective, scalable programs.

ICT Learnership

CLUBHOUSE

 

The Solar Powered Classrooms are situated at Emdeni Secondary, Mapetla Secondary, Waverley Girls High, Rus-ter-Vaal Primary Schools.  School staff and community members are provided with digital literacy training while the learners are trained in Coding & Robotics, Graphic Design, Game Design, Web Design, etc.

Clubhouse is a free daily after-school program that provides a safe space where annually over 500 inner city kids between the ages of 9-18 years are exposed to technology and services not available to them at school, home or in the community.

 

The program encourages creative expression through the use of technology  in the form of music, art, video production, graphic design, web development, architectural design, visual art, game design, programming, robotics, drones, Internet of things, etc.

All kids aged 9-18 years are invited to  attend The Clubhouse daily.
