TEACHER DEVELOPMENT

As per the Gauteng Department of Education mandate, Sci-Bono provides Mathematics, Science, Technology and computer training for all teachers Grade R - 12. Training focuses on content mastery, assessment and lesson plan delivery.

In collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Education, the teacher training unit has developed a series of downloadable lesson plans to support teachers in effective delivery of the curriculum.

Sci-Bono is also involved in the numeracy component of the Gauteng Primary Literacy Strategy and has seconded two team members to the project team at the GDE.

The training schedule is distributed through District Offices.
